Yooka-Layleedeveloper Playtonic Games is teasing the reveal of its follow-upover on Twitter.Set to a short trailer with a bunch of fan inquiries and glancing eyes, it seems more than likely that we’re going to find out what the Rareware-inspired company has been up to in the years since itsBanja-Kazooietribute landed. I wouldn’t expect an E3 presence, but I’m curious to know if this will be a continuation ofYooka-Layleeor something completely new.

Regardless of what you thought of the game, it certainly replicated the N64 era of platformers accurately. I’d imagine Playtonic has more up its sleeve than recreating old classics, though, so let’s hope this next game is something new. It would be a shame for any studio to get stuck in a rut producing the same things over and over.
