Hot off the heels of its multiplayer reveal,Battlefield 6is already holding an open beta spanning two consecutive weekends. Players will be able to try a limited number of maps and game modes duringtwo beta periods: August 7-10 and August 14-17. This is two months out fromBF6’s full release, and will give prospective players an idea of what to expect fromBattlefield’s big comeback.
There are some major caveats, though. The first two days of the first weekend, August 7 and 8, are reserved for those who have obtained early access to the beta (more on how to get that below). The true open beta doesn’t begin until August 9, at which point anyone can play. If you’re keen on playing as muchBattlefield 6as possible tocomplete the beta challenges, you’ll want to make sure you have the game pre-loaded and ready to go when the servers go live.
On All Platforms
TheBattlefield 6open beta is being held on every platform that the full game is available on: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Every platform already has access to the beta client for the purpose of pre-loading it. On PS5 and Xbox, simply navigate to the built-in storefront, search forBattlefield 6, and download the beta file.
On PC, you have three options, since theBF6beta is playable through Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA app. Regardless of which platform you’re playing on, it’s recommended that you link your EA account – instructions on how to do so are provided by EAhere. Linking your EA account is doubly important if you have early access to the beta, as your eligibility is linked to your EA account.
