Best of 2013
2013 was a big year for action with so many longtime running franchises that brought us sequels and reboots to games we’ve been enjoying for over a decade now. Plus, there were a couple of new games that made the cut that were all equally hard to put the controller down. Just one more level!

Tomb Raider
It’s quite fitting thatTomb Raidertakes home our best action game of 2013. Arguably one of the biggest action series ever created,Tomb Raiderhas been around for close to two decades now surviving multiple developers and publishers, not to mention receiving a couple of reboots along the way.
The newTomb Raiderwas able to defy the odds with its return. It succeeded in capturing the spirit of the original titles, while giving us a fresh new perspective on Lara Croft herself with this origin story.
Congrats to Crystal Dynamics for defying the odds and bringing a series back to life.
