Here’s a quick lowdown on the Support Class in Apex Legends.

Support Class perks

The Support Class Legends come with two main perks. Both these perks are designed around ensuring squad survival and longevity.

Crafting Squadmate Banners- Support Legends can bring back squadmates from the dead, even if their respawn banners have expired. They can do this by crafting banners for 30 crafting materials using the replicator. A single crafted banner will contain all recoverable teammates.

This perk allows them to escape one-sided fights comfortably knowing they can respawn their squad without risking themselves. This perk also makes them a power creep Crypto who could remotely pick up banners using his drone.

Access Hidden Compartment in Blue Supply Bins -Blue supply bins have a hidden compartment which contain enhanced healing and survival items. These include the likes of Medkits, Phoenix Kits, Shield Batteries, Heat Shields, Mobile Respawn Beacons and Ultimate Accelerants. Support class legends can access this hidden compartment to find more healing items for their squadmates.

As of Season 16, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Loba and Newcastle are the Support Class Apex Legends. In addition to the Support Class perks, each of these legends has unique abilities that enhance their squad’s longevity and chances of survival.

How to play Support Class Legends in Apex Legends

Support Class Legends require a playstyle that is very team-oriented in nature. Unlike Assault or Skirmisher-Class Legends, they aren’t supposed to run headfirst into fights. It’s better if Support Class Legends follow their squad and keep themselves alive. With the new perk, they’re capable of respawning their teammates even without grabbing their banners.

This makes it a viable strategy for Support Class Legends to have aggressive allies on the insurance that no form of death is permanent as long as the Support survives. Look for positions where you’re able to actively provide support and cover for your squad while not being too far from the fight.
