Get the Cybertruck just by playing Rocket League!

Psyonix has surprised the community by adding a licensed vehicle to Rocket League for no additional charge: the Tesla Cybertruck. Many community members replied to the original announcement pledging not to purchase it, expecting a price similar to all other licensed vehicles from the past four years.

Instead, Psyonix revealed that Tesla’s infamous truck will be attainable via a series of in-game challenges, completely free, for a limited time.

In stark contrast to the last four years of licensed vehicle bundles costing as much as the game did at launch, Psyonix are introducing the “Summer Road Trip” event. From July 23 through August 6, Rocket League will give players a series of in-game challenges to unlock the Cybertruck.

The three different challenges will have staggered start dates to encourage participation throughout the length of the event. The Cybertruck itself will not be playable in Rocket League until July 31 at the earliest. That’s when the third and final challenge begins.

How to complete all three challenges and unlock the Cybertruck

Thankfully, all of Rocket League’s in-game Cybertruck challenges are relatively easy to complete. Each one can be completed within an hour and merely requires playing the game.

By completing all three challenges, Rocket League players will unlock all of the following Cybertruck items:

Once Rocket League’s “Summer Road Trip” event concludes, the entire Cybertruck bundle will be available for purchase in the Item Shop from August 7 to 21 except for the Baja Off-Road Decal.
