Stormgate is the highly-anticipated real time strategy (RTS) game from Frost Giant Studios, that has been teased and toted for what feels like years now, but with no solid release date. With the PC Gaming Show on June 11, we now have more details about Stormgate, its gameplay, and more! Here’s everything we know about Stormgate.
What is Stormgate?
Stormgate is a RTS designed to be a successor to the likes of Warcraft III, StarCraft 2, and other classics of the genre. Created by a studio founded by former Blizzard employees Tim Morten and Tim Campbell, the two Tims have a veritable plethora of RTS design experience. And now they’re bringing it to Stormgate.
In doing this, they’ve clearly taken inspiration from the game’s predecessors, while adding new ideas and features. The art style is clear and vibrant, and it seems like the idea is to mix fantasy with sci-fi elements, as demons and highly technologically advanced humans are the only two factions currently depicted in-game. Overall, we’re excited, even with the lack of solid info!
Stormgate release date, platforms, and more!
Currently, we don’t have an exact date for Stormgate’s release date, but from what was hinted at the PC Gaming Show, it won’t be until 2024. However, there is a Closed Beta which releases later in 2023!

Overall, this looks like some absolutely classic RTS action that brings back the classic micro and macro elements of things like Warcraft III and SC2. And it does this while adding new features and interesting mechanics.
