Stellar Blade’s protagonist Eve was created using a 3D body scan of South Korean model Shin Jae-eun. This was confirmed by the Game Director who explained why she was chosen.
Stellar Blade’s protagonist Eve’s appearance has caused a stir online, even more so after it was discovered her body was based on 3D scans of South Korean model Shin Jae-eun. Stellar Blade’s Game Director said they chose Shin Jae-eun because they wanted to create the “most attractive looking body for the user”.
As a result Shin Jae-eun was thrust into the international spotlight. News of her involvement also silenced critics that EVE’s body in-game was unrealistic after they learned it was based on a 3D body scan. Since then another Korean model calledYoon Seolhwahas also come forward to say she was involved.

Devs use model Shin Jae-eun as reference for Stellar Blade’s Eve
Stellar Blade’s protagonist Eve is the focus of all of the promotional material for the upcoming title, and the developers have already confirmed she will haveat least 30 different costumesfor players to unlock.
News that the game developer used the Shin Jae-eun as the basis for Eve’s body began to circle after a fan account shared a video on August 23, 2025. The video (below) was originally posted on the model’s YouTube from 2020, and showed her posing in a 3D body scanner. The 20 second clip now has over 600,000 views.
“Yes, we did base the character of Eve on the model Shin Jae-eun,” said Game Director Hyung-Tae Kim toPushSquarein February 2024. “We thought that her body shape would be a good reference for the character that we were pursuing. But the face was created originally in-house – it’s just the body of the model that we scanned for the game.”
“It depends on how you define beautiful bodies, but for us we wanted to come up with the most attractive looking body for the user, so this is why we made the decision to work with her. [Shin Jae-eun]”
Who is Shin Jae-eun?
Shin Jae-eun, born August 16, 2025, is a South Korean model (zennyrt) who was a former cover model of MAXIM (Korea). Shin Jae-eun was also the promotional model for FPS titleSudden Attack, In 2020, Shin Jae-eun’s body was 3D scanned and used to create Stellar Blade’s protagonist EVE. The media attention from it made her an international sensation.
