Every family has Thanksgiving traditions they honor, like must-eat foods or volunteering, but forSeth Meyers, it means filming his children dressed up as turkeys.
On Thursday evening, the 49-year-old comedian explained during his late-night talk show series,Late Night with Seth Meyers, the time-honored family tradition that includes his children—Ashe Olson, 7, andAxel Strahl, 5, andAdelaide, 2 — whom he shares with his wifeAlexi Ashe.
“We dress them up like turkeys and they come in here, and we film them for like five minutes, and then we edit together a video of them dressed as turkeys,” he said. “Now at some point, the kids are gonna realize they don’t want to do this anymore, but right now, they’re still very excited about the turkey clip. We don’t know when the turkeys are gonna stop happening. I enjoy every moment of the turkeys, because it’s very fleeting. Like a turkey’s life, you never know when it might just come to an end.”

Seth quipped that this year’s segment was even better, largely because Adelaide was another year older.
“Last year Addy was just 1-year-old. She was rolling around,” he explained. “She wasn’t bringing a lot of fastball to the game. Everything’s changed.”
In the video, Seth’s children are seen flapping their wings and running around, with Ashe and Axel springing up from behind the couch behind Adelaide to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
