In back-to-back days, two Sentinels VALORANT players have exited, with Sacy following TenZ to the solitude of retirement.
The waterworks don’t seem to be stopping any time soon, folks. One day after Tyson “TenZ” Ngo announced his retirement from competitive VALORANT, a teammate joins him. Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi retires from VALORANT as a member of Sentinels and as a 2022 world champion.

Another legend retires, as Sacy ends his time in competitive VALORANT
Sacy has the distinct honorof being just one of a few players to win multiple international tournaments in VALORANT. And he has done it across multiple teams. He’ll go down as one of the best Initiator mains the game has ever seen.
VALORANT is still early in its life compared to other esports, but you cannot overstate the impact Sacy has had on the game. This includes in his home country of Brazil, where he brought a world title and was able to play in-person during LOCK//IN.
Much like his now former teammate TenZ, Sentinels shared a video honoring the legacy he leaves behind as a VALORANT player. A touching tribute to their 2024 season and the victories they found ends with a few words from the man himself.
Sacy appears and announces that he retires, officially, from competitive VALORANT and the Sentinels roster. He thanks everyone for supporting him over the years, but states it is time to know more about himself as Gustavo rather than Sacy.

Like many professional VALORANT players, Sacy began his career in the very early stages of the game. He played in many Brazil-based tournaments, and even in some Twitch Rivals events.
From there, he joined up with Team Vikings and dominated the BR region throughout 2021. Stage 1 Masters was theirs, alongside a Top 6 placement at Masters Reykjavik andTop 12 at Champions 2021.
It was near the start of 2022 where LOUD entered VALORANT with a formidable roster, unlike anything Brazil was able to put forth yet. They attended both Masters that year, taking 2nd Place at Reykjavik 2022. Followed byLOUD winning Champions in Istanbulin one of many rivalry matches versus the OpTic/NRG core.
Move onto 2023 and 2024, Sacy joins Sentinels, which is where he retires. His first year on the team wasn’t the brightest spot in his VALORANT tenure, but the team stuck with him. It paid off as his veteran leadership gave them an Americas Kickoff win,a Masters Madrid trophy, and 4th Place at VALORANT Champions 2024.
