In what could quite possibly be called the worst timing ever, XSEED’s latest localization effort is making its way to the PlayStation Network later today.Corpse Party, a horror adventure title, follows a group of teenage students as they explore a haunted, otherworldly school in an attempt to escape from the hellish prison with their sanity, much less their very lives.
As a fan of both survival horror and everything Japanese, the juxtaposition of the cutesy anime stills and 2D sprites with the violent and horrific subject matter is something that really caught my eye. Even as someone who’s been following this title closely, it’s difficult to imagine this $19.99 downloadable PSP title will generate much interest in the face of such high profile competition. Still, one can always hope.
