Payday 3’s matchmaking problems aren’t the only issues fans have been experiencing since launch.Payday 3forces players to make a Nebula accountif they want to play, and some have simply been unable to get past that login screen. Fans have expressed their frustration withPayday 3’s always-online requirementever since it was announced. SincePayday 3can be played solo with a full team of AI bots, fans have questioned why always-online is necessary to begin with.
Most ofPayday 3’s issues seem to stem from the game’s always-online requirement. IfPayday 3did not require an online connection to play, then fans would at least be able to still play solo when server issues like this happen. But while fan feedback led toPayday 3dropping Denuvo, it’s unlikely that the developers will remove the always-online requirement. Or if it is ever removed, it won’t be at any point in the near future. For now,Paydayfans will have to simply wait for the issues to be ironed out.
Payday 3is out now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
