A few weeks back, THQ contacted me to let me know it would be bringing a mechanical horse to PAX. The horse, I was told, was designed by special effects man Evan Brainard, and was modeled after the hulking beast Ruin from the upcomingDarksiders.
I had originally intended for us to simply stop by the booth, take some pictures, and get some hands-on time with the game. Before I knew it, I was signing a three-page waiver that started with the words “HYRDRAULIC HORSE RIDING IS AN EXTREME SPORT.” All caps. They’re not messing around here.
Despite possible injury, I got on this thing. For you guys. And now we have video.
