Here are all of the Overwatch 2 Avatar event challenges and rewards. We also go over how to unlock the Katara Mei skin for free!
The Overwatch 2 x Avatar: The Last Airbender event is now live! This means players can enter the game and duke it out as their favorite heroes from both franchises. There’s even a free Overwatch 2 Avatar skin up for grabs. Read on for all of the Overwatch 2 Avatar event challenges and rewards!
Overwatch 2 Avatar event dates
This Overwatch 2 Avatar event runs from Dec. 17 to Dec. 31, allowing players to complete limited-time challenges and unlock free rewards such as Battle Pass XP, voice lines, weapon charms, a souvenir, plus a name card and player title.
Overwatch 2 Avatar challenges and rewards
There are 12 Overwatch 2 Avatar challenges in total. Rewards to note include the set of Katara Mei items, which include the epic skin itself, the Waterbending emote it comes with, plus the Katara Mei name card. If you’re a fan of Kiriko, Venture, and Zenyatta, then they each have a voice line to collect as well.

How to unlock the Katara Mei skin for free in Overwatch 2
While the Katara Mei skin is free and can be unlocked by completing seven event challenges in total, the rest of the Overwatch 2 Avatar skins require visiting the in-game shop and purchasing them. you may add all of them in your collection via the Avatar: The Last Airbender Mega Bundle of 32 items.
Or, if you have a favorite character, then you can get one of the bundles instead. There’s also the option to unlock each legendary skin individually for 1,900 Overwatch Coins each via the hero gallery. Note that since Suki Kiriko is an epic skin, it costs 1,000 Overwatch Coins instead.
