The single most powerful Pokémon in Pokémon GO, Mega Rayquaza, is back in Special Mega Raids for a one off event.On Saturday, August 3 at 11am, 1pm, and 6pmMega Raids will spawn Mega Rayquaza.
This is the first time that Mega Rayquaza has been in standard Raids since it debuted during Pokémon GO Fest last year. Trainers need a Meteorite to Mega Evolve Rayquaza, and there will be a free Timed Research during the event to get one.
In addition, unlike the original event, this make-up event is not Elite Raids, meaning Remote Raid Passes can be used.
Do not miss these Raids. Mega Rayquaza is a must have Pokémon in Pokémon GO. It is the single most powerful Pokémon in the game. As a Mega, it covers three-types for Candy and XP bonuses. Also, it’s one of the coolest Pokémon in the game.

Mega Rayquaza has a weakness to Dragon, Fairy and Rock-types. In addition, it has a 2x weakness to Ice-types. This makes Ice-type Pokémon a great choice to take on Mega Rayquaza.
Mega Rayquaza also has lot of resistances. It double resists Grass and Ground-types, as well as resisting Bug, Fire, Fighting and Water-types.

While this Mega Rayquaza Raid is one of the most difficult in Pokémon GO, the best Counter is a Pokémon that is readily avaliable. Mamoswine, evolving from Swinub, is a very easy Pokémon to get your hands on in Pokémon GO. Grab a few Mamoswines and you’re set for this Raid.

There are some good Dragon-types, including Mega Rayquaza if you already have one, to take on this Raid in Pokémon GO. Although don’t forget that all Dragon-types are weak to fellow Dragon-types.
