Blizzard has revealed all eight Overwatch 2 x Street Fighter 6 skins, but some fans are disappointed. Chun-Li’s skin went to Juno instead of Mei despite both of them being Chinese characters. Others were surprised that Lucio didn’t get a Dee Jay skin. In a recent interview, Dion Rogers, the art director of Overwatch 2, also revealed that the team skipped over Ken as either Genji or Hanzo.

Lucio as Dee Jay in Overwatch 2
When the Overwatch 2 x Street Fighter 6 collaboration was revealed, players and fans wondered if Lucio would get a Dee Jay skin. This made sense since both characters share a love for music.
However,the announcement trailer and gameplay videoshowed otherwise, featuring Ryu as Hanzo, Chun-Li as Juno, Cammy as Widowmaker, Juri as Kiriko, Guile as Soldier: 76, M. Bison as Sigma, Blanka as Winston, and Dhalsim as Zenyatta.
In a recent interview withComicBook, Rogers acknowledged the absence of a Dee Jay Lucio skin. He did offered a bit of hope, however. “Dee Jay as Lucio sounds awesome,” he said. “We’ll get there. Maybe one day.”

Rogers also noted that the Overwatch 2 team didn’t do anything with Ken. “Maybe Ken would have been an awesome one to get to. A cool recolor for Hanzo or at least explore Genji,” he said.
In Overwatch 2, Hanzo and Genji are the Shimada brothers who once fought each other, making the Ken versus Ryu matchup fitting. Additionally, like Hanzo and Genji, who wereoriginally conceived as a single characterbefore splitting into two different heroes, Ken also began as a mirror character to Ryu in the Street Fighter franchise.
This shared history would’ve made the collaboration more meaningful for fans of the Shimada brothers and the Ken versus Ryu matchup, but it didn’t happen. Will the Overwatch 2 x Street Fighter 6 crossover get a Round 2 with new skins? Only time will tell.
