GAM Esports and Fukuoka SoftBank HAWKS Gaming: Who is the next Asian god?
GAM Esports is a Vietnamese team with 10 years of experience in the competitive LoL scene. With a current roaster of only Vietnamese players, the team had a 2024 that they will never forget. Being the winners of the VCS gave them some energy and confidence to jump on this Worlds 2024 event.

Meanwhile, Fukuoka SoftBank HAWKS Gaming, also known as only HAWKS, has been an esports team for five years. It was formed by the Japanese baseball team with the same name. They qualified for Worlds 2024 by reaching the PCS Summer Final. HAWKS are known to always be in great spots on the League of Legends Japan League (LJL).
Match recap: GAM Esports vs. Fukuoka SoftBank HAWKS Gaming
Match 1
The first game of the second day of Play-Ins started strong with the first Aurora being played in Worlds 2024. HAWKS started well with first blood — even though the kill was for the support — and a jungle kill. GAM fought back, and both of the next kills were for the support as well.
The HAWKS were determined to control the game, and the consequent kills made them get too excited, provoking an unnecessary fight that gave GAM’s Easylove a double kill. And GAM began to take advantage of HAWKS' mistakes. However, the Japanese team was brimming with confidence — DasheR’s Lucian was very strong, and the game was not lost yet.

But they were wrong. Levi was wild and causing so much damage that it was simply impossible for HAWKS to get on track again. Levi was everywhere — he was omnipresent. He was a Vietnamese god. The unkillable demon. No one was able to stop him, ad GAM won the first game.
Match 2
The first defeat didn’t stop HAWKS from starting another great LoL performance. Vsta was feeling the adrenaline rise and started a fight that was absolute cinema for the fans, even though GAM’s Aurora was able to do three kills.
The HAWKS' support was everywhere, saving everyone he could. DasheR was playing amazingly with LeBlanc, but not enough to stop the unbelievable damage that Aurora gave. It was absurd what Kiaya was doing to the enemy team.

GAM was controlling the game, Aurora was impeccable, and there was so much determination, courage, and even boldness. The early games of GAM Esports were not great, but in the end, they always had the strength to overcome difficulties. Kiaya’s presence in the team fights was too much for HAWKS to handle. GAM won once again!
GAM will now have to wait a few hours to discover their next opponents: will it be 100 Thieves or Movistar Rainbow7? Follow everything about that match on esports.gg!
