Launching on PC first
Those eager to grab some Wang will be happy to know that Devolver Digital has announced a release date forShadow Warrior 2. The game will be heading to PC on July 28, 2025. It will launch with a 10% discount for the first week, but will regularly retail at $39.99 (£34.99 in Europe).
The game will be hitting Steam and GOG at the same time, though the console versions have not been nailed down yet. I’m not sure if they will be skipping this year or releasing closer to the holiday season, but nothing has been stated with regards to them.

While Flying Wild Hog’s first take onShadow Warriorwas a roaring good time, it certainly wasn’t old-school by any stretch of imagination. It played more likePainkillerthan the originalShadow Warrior, but it still nailed its core mechanics. It was bloody as all hell, too.
Shadow Warrior 2looks to change up the formula even more than its predecessor. Instead of sticking to a corridor shooter, the game will be heavily inspired byDiabloby including a loot system. Sounds similar toBorderlands.

I would still like to see how the co-op functions in the game. I wasn’t lucky enough to even get close to the booth at PAX East this year, so I’m still in the dark. Either way, I’m excited for the launch.
