The latest Honkai Star Rail leaks outline Phainon’s kit, but it has a weird detail in it that is unprecedented in the game’s history. See what facet of Phainon’s kit and Eidolon makes it unique here.

Phainon kit leaks
As a playable character, Phainon was revealed to be a 5-star Physical character on the Path of Destruction. The mysteries about his real identity were first brought up at the beginning of the Astral Express' stop in Amphoreus, but hissplash art shown on his revealcaused a resurgence of this discussion.
The descriptions of Phainon’s skills, kit, and Eidolons have now leaked, and these only add fuel to the fire. His kit allows him to transform between two forms: the Phainon we all know, and the still-unnamed █████. This redaction is consistent throughout his skill descriptions.
Phainon combat skills
Basic ATK - Stride to Deliverance (Single Target)
Normal single-target attack that deals Physical DMG based on Phainon’s ATK stat.
Enhanced Basic ATK - Creation: Bloodthorn Ferry (Blast)
Gains 2 “Scourge” and deals Physical DMG to one primary target and adjacent targets based on █████'s ATK.
Skill - Let There Be Light (Blast)
Gain 2 “Coreflame,” and deal Physical DMG to one enemy and units adjacent to it based Phainon’s ATK.
Enhanced Skill - Calamity: Soulscorch Edict
Gain “Bruise” based on how many enemy targets are in the field, then gain 1 stack of “Soulrending Blaze.” All enemies will immediately take action, after which █████ will Counter dealing DMG to all enemies based on █████'s ATK and the number of “Soulrending Blaze” stacks.
The damage that █████ receives will be reduced while in the “Soulrending Blaze” state. He gains 1 additional stack each time enemies attack or take action.
After the Counter, “Soulrending Blaze” is dispelled.
If “Soulrending Blaze” is still active at the start of █████'s extra turn, immediately perform the Counter.
Enhanced Skill - Foundation: Stardeath Verdict
Dispel all debuffs on █████, then deal Physical DMG based on █████'s ATK. Each stack of “Bruise” consumed adds additional instances of DMG to random enemies. At 4 “Bruise” stacks consumed, deal DMG to all enemies.
Ultimate - He Who Bears the World Must Burn
Transform into █████ and deploy Territory. Other teammates in the Territory become Departed and cannot take action. All enemies gain Physical Weakness.
█████ does not have his own turn, but rather has extra turns with a fixed SPD. At the start of the final extra turn, launch Final Hit, which deals Physical Ultimate DMG based on █████'s ATK to all enemies.

Technique - Beginning of the End
When Phainon is a party member, increase Max Technique Points by 3.
His Technique consumes two Technique Points to attack all enemies in a certain range. At the start of battle, he regenerates Energy for all allies, gains “Scourge” stacks and additional Skill Points.
Deal Physical DMG based on Phainon’s ATK to all enemies at the start of each wave.
Phainon’s Talent - Pyric Corpus (Enhance)
Phainon can activate his Ultimate at 12 Coreflame stacks. He can hold up to 15 stacks at a time.
He gains a stack of “Coreflame” if he is the target of an enemy ability. If he is the target of an ally’s ability, gain one stack of “Coreflame” and increase his CRIT DMG.
█████'s Talent - Fate: Divine Vessel (Enhance)
Gain stacks of “Bruise” upon transforming. If it happens during an ally’s turn, that ally’s buffs will be extended, and the current turn ends.
█████ is immune to Crowd Control and has access to an Enhanced Basic ATK and two Enhanced Skills, but cannot use Ultimate.
ATK and Max HP are increased while transformed. Instead of getting Knocked Down, █████ will instead restore HP and immediately perform Final Hit. The Final Hit deals more DMG the more extra turns remain.

Bide in Flames
Phainon’s DMG dealt is increased when he receives healing or Shields from a teammate. This effect can only trigger once per turn.
Increase ATK when entering battle or after the Transformation ends.
