We’ll start by saying there are spoilers ahead. Once you find Adler in the opening portions of the campaign, he points you to the safehouse. Once there, you start to build a team, upgrade it with various stations, and can explore it.
It is a huge mansion, so exploration is a must if you’re one who wants to enjoy the full experience of the story. Once there, you canaccess the basement to turn on the generator. This is the first step, and arguably one of the most important pieces of the full safehouse puzzle.
