One of the things you’re able to do with Pale Ale you produce inStardew Valleyis age it in a Cask.

This not only improves the quality of the Ale, but also how much it sells for. Casks are automatically available once you upgrade your Farmhouse to level three and unlock the Cellar. The Cellar comes with 33 Casks already in place, though you can place as many as 189 down there. The recipe for additional Casks also unlocks automatically upon unlocking the Cellar.

Pale Ale is made by placing Hops into a Keg. Once you’ve produced some Pale Ale, head down into your Cellar and place it into a Cask. Each stage of aging takes a certain number of days and will increase the value and quality of the Pale Ale.

What else can be matured in Stardew Valley?

There are a few foods and alcoholic beverages, other than Pale Ale, which can be matured using a Cask, but each of them has its own specific aging process in terms of how much time it takes.

Wine is always worth 3x the value of the original Fruit used when making it, but maturing increases this value by the same amount as it would for anything else.
