Ho-Oh is in Raids until July 8.
Ho-Oh is rounding out Raids this June in Pokémon GO. This powerful Flying and Fire-type Pokémon is avaliable in Five Star Raids fromJune 28 until July 8.
Ho-Oh is a very solid Legendary Pokémon to have in your collection. It isn’t the best Fire or Flying-type raid attacker but it ranks very solidly in both categories and crucially does not need an Elite TM to access either of its best moves. You will need an Elite TM for Scared Fire, however.

Additionally, Ho-Oh can be shiny in Pokémon GO, so now is a great time to get out and take on those Raids.
Here is everything you need to know to take on this Raid.

Best Ho-Oh counters in Pokémon GO:
Ho-Oh has a 2x weakness to Rock-types, and single weaknesses to Electric and Water-type attacks. It has a range of resistances, including a 2x resistance to Bug and Grass-type attacks. Crucially it also resists Fairy-type moves, which is a powerful category in PvP.
Here are the best Ho-Oh counters in Pokémon GO.
As expected, with Ho-Oh having that 2x Weakness to Rock-type moves, a lot of the best counters are of course Rock-types. A great pick is Mega Tyranitar. Coincidentally, Mega Tyranitar is also in Pokémon GO Raids until July 8th. So, if you are really struggling for counters perhaps take on a Mega Tyranitar or two first.

Otherwise, there are some really good options here. Rampardos, Rhyperior, Gigalith and Tyrantrum are all reasonably budget Pokémon and have spawned in the wild frequently. That means that even lower level trainers should be able to get a team of counters together.
Outside of Rock-types, Mega Rayquaza (with a Rock-type move!) and Primal Kyogre are also good choices to take on this Raid.
