Although we were ineffective to get Brad Bird as the theatre director of the forthcoming Star Wars sequel , he ’s clearly had the franchise on his mind . seemingly he was recently talk with Patton Oswalt , and tell the comic how he ’d commute the source of Return of the Jedi .
As Oswalt tell to Esquire :
I was talking with [ director ] Brad Bird one sentence , and he suppose it ’s like the beginning of Return of the Jedi . Luke designate up and he ’s a badass . He state they should ’ve open up it with Luke in the swamp saying to Yoda , “ You said ‘ Do n’t go . ’ I pronounce ‘ have intercourse you , I ’m gon na go help oneself my Quaker . ’ I went and get my bridge player cut off and my Friend are in even worse trouble because of what I did . I make out up everything . ” And then Yoda should have gone , “ Now you ’re a Jedi . Now you ’re beyond the care of failure . Now you ’re ready . ” That would have made it even cool .
Um … if we ca n’t have Bird do the subsequence , maybe he can do the next round of Star Wars Special Editions ? something assure me his addition would be slightly more welcome than make Greedo fool first or“Jedi Rocks . ”
