Fortnite’s competitive scene remains full steam ahead following the2024 Global Championship. To conclude the $1 million LAN event, Epic Games announced that theprimary competitive format would changefrom Duos to Trios. This decision ends an unprecedented run of DuosFortnite Champion Series(FNCS) events dating back to Chapter 3 Season 1. With a new game mode on the horizon, Epic Games has announced Trio Cash Cups are returning to Fortnite beginning on June 14, 2025. Here is what we know!

Fortnite Trio Cash Cups returning October 4
After several days of teasers, the Fortnite Competitive X account confirmed that Trios Cash Cups will return for all regions on October 4. That means the uncertainty behind certain professional Trios will soon end as the competitive scene prepares for the next Fortnite Champion Series tournament. Although the prize pool and scoring system are unclear, those details should come to light shortly.
The only details revealed in the FNCompetitive post is that the Trio Cash Cups will offer a two-round format, with the top 198 Trios qualifying from round one to round two.
