Two of the biggest rumored announcements for Microsoft’s upcoming first-party Xbox Series X game showcase are newFableandPerfect Darkgames, yet the team atXbox Game Studioshas done a great job of clamping down on leaks. That may have changed, however, as at least some fans believe they’ve discovered evidence of both games thanks to Twitter.

Two Twitter accounts have drawn the eyes ofXbox fansrecently, the @fable account and then the @perfectdarkgame account. They joined Twitter in March and June respectively, are both locked, and both have “Placeholder” as their official names. Alone, they’re both interesting but unpersuasive. After all, anyone can make or buy a Twitter account, but there’s more to these two accounts than meets the eye.

Twitter has somewhat of a security concern in that anyone can say they have a forgotten password for any account. Twitter will then show the requesters a partial email address for the recovery account. TheFableaccount’s email address is “fa**********@m*” and thePerfect Darkaccount’s email address is “pe***@m*”. Note that the number of letters in the email is likely randomized. Nevertheless, both accounts have a custom email address with a domain that could be @microsoft.com.

It’s not hard evidence that both accounts are official, and thereby that Microsoft is preparing for upcomingFableandPerfect Darkannouncements, but it is just enough to lend credence to the growing chorus of rumors about each potential game.FableandPerfect Darkmay be in development.

To know for sure, Xbox fans will just have to wait for theXbox Series X first-party game event planned for July.
