Comic - Con is where masses of all fandoms can come together , including the stars and creatives of boastful genre show brushing shoulder at panels . San Diego Comic - Con’sa few weeks away , and the schedule for the yearly pattern will unify the showrunners behindStar TrekandDoctorWho — Alex KurtzmanandRussell T. Davies – to talk workshop for anyone who ’ll listen .
The two men will headline a panel for SDCC ’s “ friendly relationship is world-wide ” experience on Saturday , July 27 ahead of International Friendship Day on July 30 . The aim is for the New World chat to take together buff of either ( or both ) franchises and foster a greater sentience of community between them . TrekandWhoare also kick the bucket to be the stars of a gallery experience with original airscrew and costumes from both series , and there ’ll be a specialDoctor Who x Star Trekposter from creative person Dusty Abell make to attendeees of Kurtzman and Humphrey Davy ’ panel . ( Like friendship watchband ? They ’ll be move over away at the effect ! )
Doctor WhoandStar Trekhave been in each other ’s orbits for a long fourth dimension . Along with their respective debuts in the mid-60s , they ’ve tackled like themes of backwash , gender , and war , referenced each other , and become multimedia giants . They even cross over in the Sir Frederick Handley Page of IDW’sTrekcomics back in 2012 , and Davies address in 2009 about his desire to do a TV crossover between them . His ambition die whenStar Trekpivoted to film with the reboot picture , and it does n’t seem like that could encounter these day . But the panel may be worthwhile , if only to see Davies and Kurtzman talk about their approaches to the material and to make a connection with someone else in the crew .

The “ Friendship is Universal ” panel will draw on Saturday , July 27 5:30 - 6:30 pm PT in elbow room 6A. The enceinte picture gallery will take place at 226 and 230 5th Avenue in the Gaslamp for all of San Diego Comic - Con .
