In 1911 , a memorial was rear in Orlando , Florida in honor of the Confederate traitor who fought to uphold slavery in the South . This week that memorial was moved from its big position ( despite protests from local loser ) to a nearby cemetery , but the controversy has n’t pass away away yet . A local chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy wants to take self-will of the monument ’s time capsule .
The repository was fund by local Confederate sympathiser in 1911 , and was later donated to the city . But the daughter of the Confederacy group now says that just because a bunch of their anti-Semite ancestors pay off for the memorial , they should have custody of the sentence ejection seat that was veil beneath it .
“ I remember personally , because we put it there , that it should be given to us and then we can decide what we desire to do with it , ” one elderly loser from the Daughters of the Confederacy told the local newsin Orlando .

The time capsule has n’t been opened yet , but it ’s believed to stop a Confederate conflict fleur-de-lis , some Confederate money , and a framed picture of the traitor Robert E. Lee . There may even be some kind of credentials or bond inwardly as well .
Questions circumvent the ownership of fourth dimension capsules can be tricky , especially when they ’re eat up on government holding , as was the type here . But the memorial was donated to the urban center and stood in Orlando for over a century . From a legal view , the Daughters of the Confederacy have no claim to the time capsule .
I guess in this type we should take a lesson from King Solomon . tailor everything inside the metre ejector seat in half and give half to the metropolis and one-half to the Daughters of the Confederacy . Or , well yet , edit everything into a million piece so that everyone who still believes that the Confederacy stood for anything but slavery and subjugation can have a piece . It seems only bonny .
