One of the least surprising , though still enjoyable , cameos inCaptain Marvelwas the abbreviated , punchy visual aspect of Ronan the Accuser . Ronan does n’t do much , but his show as the premiere Accuser of theKree Empireestablished a sensory faculty of persistence with Guardians of the Galaxy and makes the cosmic side of the MCU feel reproducible . Also , he ’s just a pleasant guy . Nice shade of blue .
As shared in the Director ’s Commentary for Captain Marvel , the director purposefully limited the ambit of his appearing and decide not to introduce him until late in the film for one round-eyed reason : introducing him early might have given away the movie ’s big twist for risible fans .
