Blizzard is donating $1 million to Direct Relief for communities impacted by the wildfires in Southern California.
Blizzard Entertainment, the company known for games such as Overwatch 2, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and more, is donating $1 million to help communities affected by the Southern California wildfires.

Blizzard donates $1 million to Direct Relief
As of Jan. 24, wildfires continue to devastate the greater Los Angeles area. To support those affected, Blizzard is donating $1 million to Direct Relief. This is an organization dedicated to improving the health and lives of people affected by emergencies and poverty. Direct Relief also provides lifesaving medical resources to communities across the U.S. and around the world.
“Our hearts remain with those affected, both in the immediate need for relief and the continuing journey toward long-term recovery,“Blizzard stated.

Blizzard also acknowledged the impact of the wildfires on the player community, adding that the donation toDirect Reliefwill provide both immediate and long-term aid to community health centers, affected residents, and first responders.

Blizzard isn’t the only company that’s helping those affected by the wildfires. Riot Games, for example, is currently doing in-game fundraisers. Players of League of Legends and VALORANT can contribute by purchasing in-game items — with proceeds going to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund. This fund will then direct the proceeds to relevant organizations.
While League of Legends players can help out by getting Firefighter Tristana, VALORANT players can get the EX.O Collection Give Back Bundle.
