Swordmaster and Trooper are the best starting classes in Dune: Awakening as they are relatively straightforward to play and master. Unlike Mentat and Bene Gesserit, they don’t demand a methodical approach to every enemy encounter. If you’re used to playing shooter games, these should be your go-to choice as they would allow you to shoot first and think later.
Furthermore, both Swordmaster and Trooper are high DPS classes that work well in solo play. Like other massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs), navigating the first few hours of Dune: Awakening could be tricky without proper gear and equipment, especially with a long-ranged class like Mentat. Likewise, Bene Gesserit could be tough to get into if you are not used to manipulating environments, managing stats, keeping an eye out for buffs and debuffs, and so on.
