If you’ve ever played a (modern) Bethesda game, it should come as no surprise thatStarfield, like its older siblings, allows players to climb onboard the love train.
But,in a universe the sizeofStarfield’s, one might worry about missing out on potential romantic entanglements. If this is your chief concern, don’t worry.Starfield’s romance options are limited, but none are particularly missable.

Thanks to theexploration syndicate, Constellation, you’ll meet them all as part of the main story. To romance these characters, however, pay them extra attention. You’ll want to ensure your crush is obvious and appeal to their interests.
In typical fashion, based on select dialogue options and actions, an indicator flashes in the top right of the screen. This signals if your boo-to-be likes or dislikes your decisions. Also, it’s important to set your love interest as your active companion; it’s not enough to simply assign them to your ship.

With that cleared up, let’s discuss the potential romance candidates inStarfield.
All Starfield romance options – Listed
To start things off, we’ve gotBarrett. Barrett is the first member of Constellation you encounter in the main story, who entrusts you with his ship and robotic companion, VASCO. He’ll also task you with traveling to meet the other members of Constellation.
He is aligned with the United Colonies faction and possesses theStarship Engineering,Particle Beam Weapon Systems,Robotics, andGastronomytraits. Barret prefers morally good actions and dialogue, though not so much dishonest or obscene options. In time, you’ll receive the“Breach of Contract”mission, which you must complete to romance Barrett.

Next, we haveSam Coe. Sam aligns with the Freestar Collective faction and is a former member of the Freestar Rangers. He’s also a descendant of Solomon Coe, who founded Akila City. Sam possesses thePiloting,Rifle Certification,Payloads, andGeologytraits. Like Barret, he seems impressed by the morally good, and it’s also important to be kind to Sam’s daughter, Cora. Eventually, you’ll receive a mission called“Listen to Your Hart,”which lets you know you’re on the right path to romance Sam.
Then, there’sSarah Morgan, the no-nonsense chair of Constellation. Sarah aligns with the United Colonies, like Barrett, and possesses theAstrodynamics,Lasers,Leadership, andBotanytraits. It is probably not too surprising that a character like Sarah prefers airing on the “good” side, but it also helps to invest in conflict avoidance. In time, you’ll receive a mission called“In Memoriam,”which will put you on course to romancing Sarah.

And lastly, there’sAndreja, who is an entire glossary of secrets. Andreja possesses theStealth,Particle Beams,Energy Weapons Systems, andThefttraits. Like with the other romanceable characters inStarfield, Andreja also likes morally good actions / dialogue options. Eventually, you will receive a mission called“Divided Loyalties,”which you must complete before you’ll be given the option to romance Andreja.
So, as soon as you’re ready to explore the cosmos of love, you have all the info you need. Just make sure not to stray from the path — it seems as if engaging in a polyamorous relationship inStarfieldis incredibly difficult, if not impossible.
