It breaks the game’s limits and introduces players to a great experience. You can’t play Brawl Arena as a usual Brawl Stars mode. Understand essential concepts to improve your results.
The in-game season Crush the Kaiju introduced a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) mode to Brawl Stars. The connection here is pretty straightforward: there is a mighty Kaiju in Brawl Arena matches for the teams to defeat and obtain a huge power-up.

While Brawl Arena is a very, very simplified MOBA, it may feel challenging — especially if you never played this genre before. Players don’t need to buy items in the shop or level up the abilities of their characters. But some Brawl Arena tricks are crucial to know if you want to win.
Our Brawl Arena guide explains everything important from this Brawl Stars mode and highlights the most effective tips.

Brawl Arena guide: Be patient and focus on the objective
The main goal of Brawl Arena is to destroy the base of your opponents. No, you can’t just rush to attack it, as there are two powerful defensive structures on the map.
The base itself shoots destructive bullets, and they will kill your brawler easily, especially at the initial stages. Be patient and don’t approach it too early!

However, there is the other side of this principle. Don’t postpone your final rush. Brawl Arena is a quick MOBA game, where everything is decided in around 5 to 7 minutes. If you lose your chance, the opponents take it.
When the opponents’ turrets are down, clear the way for mobs and attack the base with no hesitation.

Brawlers’ levels matter!
Unlike all the other Brawl Stars game modes, Brawl Arena features a level-up system for the brawlers.
Start with simple mobs
Farming is an essential part of a MOBA game. Simple mobs on both lanes bring little XP, but they are easy to defeat and gain an essential early advantage.
Don’t feed your opponents with Bonus XP Bounty
When you are dead, you lose time in battle. But in Brawl Arena, you also give an XP Bounty Bonus to your opponents — if they achieve something like double takedown.
Be very careful! A couple of unnecessary mistakes, and you may see your opponent on Level 10 when you are still on Level 4. It’s most likely a lost match.

On the other hand, do it yourself! Hide in bushes and use your Supers to deliver first strikes and win direct clashes. Level up and dominate!
A historic event! HMBLE won Brawl Cup 2025

Team up!
Brawl Arena is a three-versus-three (3v3) mode with two lanes. In a perfect situation, two players should stand on lanes, and one should be a roaming support.
It’s difficult to follow this scheme in random online matches. Still, you can watch what the other two on your team are doing and take the remaining role: on a lane or in the jungle.

Periodically, you need to abandon your roles to strike as a team. When you have a main advantage, you’re able to deliver kills, level up quickly, and destroy the structures easily.
Robots and Kaiju
However fun it is to battle other players, don’t ignore the biggest objectives on the map. Big robots give a lot of XP. Destroy them. When the Kaiju is available, rush to take it down, as you will get a significant power-up.
If you don’t do this, your opponents will!
The best brawlers for Brawl Arena
Ranged damage dealers, like Surge orLumi, are the best brawlers for Brawl Arena. They shoot mobs and turrets from a safe distance. It is difficult to ambush them. The downside here is limited ammo.
Close-range brawlers with melee attacks are very effective. Such characters as Kenji or Edgar are great to battle robots and clear mob waves. They struggle against range damage dealers.

Tanks win Brawl Arena matches easily. Their extended health allows players to survive early confrontation — but you must compare levels of your brawler and the opponent you want to attack. Slow attacks of Brawl Stars tanks may be a problem with the Robots, as they return to the healing point earlier than you recharge. The examples areFrankand Hank.
Healing supports, like Berry and Poco, are good only in a formed team. Otherwise, they struggle on a solo lane.

The same goes for Artillery brawlers: Barley or Dynamike. You need to be close to a teammate to be effective, but that Brawl Arena map is too big for this.
Teams with only damage dealers, only tanks, or only melee brawlers can win. A team of Artillery and Supports will most likely fail.

Like the other modes, Brawl Arena is a source ofBrawl Stars Trophiesand Brawl Pass XP. Feel free to experiment here and find your own best way to play.
